The Island
of Bohol is located in the heart of Central Visayas, is the 10th largest
island in the country. Bohol is approximately 803 km. south of Manila
and 79 km. southeast of Cebu. It is an oval-shaped island dotted with
72 smaller islets comprising an area of 4,117 sq. km. It has 47 towns
with Tagbilaran as the capital city with roughly a million people and
is now a certified Heritage Province and the eco-cultural destination
of the new millennium.
Bohol already famous for its land based tourist attractions also boasts
of a vast sub-terranean eden that many scuba diving enthusiasts all over
the world is visiting for its colorful corals and wide range of fishes
and hard to find creatures of the deep.
