Feast of San Clemente/ Higantes Festival

Angono, Rizal

Higantes FestivalThe artist town of Angono celebrates the feast of its patron, San Clemente, with flourish. In a street procession, the sacred image is carried out from its shrine, borne on the shoulders of male devotees, followed by the "Parehadoras" (paddle-carrying devotees clad in traditional Tagalog costumes) and "Higantes" (giant papermache figures). A fluvial procession along Laguna de Bay follows, after which, San Clemente is brought back to the parish church.

12th Philippine Travel MartThis is the biggest annual tourism show in the country organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association, Inc. (PHILTOA). Local and foreign buyers and suppliers converge in this one-stop shop to explore business, trade, market, and promote their products and services.

For this year, the theme is Philippine Tourism: Rising Above the Challenges.
