Peñafrancia Festival

Naga City, Camarines Sur

The image of the Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia, patroness of the Bicol region, is carried out from her shrine at the Naga Basilica by male devotees to an elaborately decorated pagoda for a fluvial procession. Thousands of pilgrims go to the annual celebration to pay homage or seek intercession from the miraculous image.

Araw ng Siquijor

The mystical province of Siquijor celebrates its charter day by holding special events that include a parade, trade fair, sports competition, cultural shows, a beauty pageant, and the "Solili" street dance pageant which dramatizes the marriage ritual of the native Siquijodnons.

Voyodores Festival
September 21 (3rd Friday)
Naga City, Camarines Sur

The image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia is transferred from her Naga Shrine to the Metropolitan Cathedral, borne on the shoulders of her male devotees (called "voyadores"), for a 9-day novena. The street procession is called "Translacion" which also includes Our Lady's voyage back to her home via a fluvial procession at the Bicol River.
